"I put in a complaint after my visit..."
I put in a complaint after my visit, and since this all happened recently, it’s the main thing I remember about the whole experience now.
The responses took ages and mostly felt like the same lines being repeated, rather than anyone actually addressing what I’d said. I ended up chasing more than once, which just made it feel like they weren’t really interested in sorting it out.
In the end, they closed it without any proper fix or an apology that felt genuine. Maybe the visit itself wasn’t the worst, but the way it was handled afterwards has really put me off going back anytime soon.

"Decent visit, but keep an eye on the kids"
We had an okay time at Grand Pier overall, but just a heads-up for other parents — the supervision felt a bit inconsistent. Some staff were clearly paying attention to the rides, while others seemed distracted or weren’t really around when kids were lining up. Nothing went wrong during our visit, thankfully, but I definitely felt like I had to watch more closely than I expected. The safety signs were clear, which was good, but I’d still recommend staying alert, especially if you’re there with children

"Booking was okay, but a bit clunky"
I booked tickets online for Grand Pier and it all worked out in the end, so I can’t really complain too much. That said, I’m personally not a fan of slow, fiddly booking pages, and this one felt a bit clunky in spots, especially on my phone. The payment went through fine and the confirmation email came straight away, which was good. I just think the whole process could be a bit clearer and more straightforward. Average experience overall

I tried to be patient and give the band a chance, but they just sounded off the whole time. It felt like everyone in the crowd was kind of forcing themselves to sit through it too, because hardly anyone seemed into it.

"Pretty good for the price"
For the price, it’s good. I wasn’t expecting anything fancy, but it does the job, and that’s mostly what I needed. It’s one of those things where you notice a few small stuff here and there, but then you remember what you paid and it’s like, yeah, okay, fair enough. Overall, I’m happy with it.

I booked our tickets through grandpier.co.uk the whole process was straightforward. The confirmation came through quickly, and when we got there, showing it at the entrance was no hassle at all.

The only bit that threw me was the wristband info. I tend to look for how everything fits together before a visit, like what covers which rides and how it works once you’re inside, and I didn’t feel like that was super obvious on the site.
The staff explained it clearly when we arrived, so it wasn’t a big problem in the end. I’d just say it would be helpful if the wristband details were laid out a bit more clearly online for people who like to know the setup beforehand.

"Height info was unclear"
We had a decent day overall, but the height restrictions were a little hard to figure out before we got there. I ended up checking a few times, and one of the kids was disappointed when we got to a ride and found out they couldn’t go on. It would be much better if that info was easier to spot on the website. Not a bad visit, just annoying in the moment...

"Accessibility Was Disappointing"
I visited with my mum, who uses a mobility scooter, and it ended up being more stressful than it should’ve been. Quite a few areas felt cramped, the lifts were slow and not very well signposted, and the toilets didn’t seem especially well looked after. The staff we spoke to were pleasant enough, but the overall setup just didn’t feel easy or comfortable to use. For such a busy place, I really expected better accessibility, and it did make me lose a bit of confidence in how well they look after visitors with mobility needs.

"Redeeming my prize was such a pain"
It took way too long to get my prize redeemed, and support didn’t really do much to help. I had to keep waiting around and it just got annoying fast.

The location is definitely a plus, and the sea views were really nice. That said, the overall experience felt average to me, especially for what I was expecting. I ended up raising my concerns because it just didn’t feel like the stay matched the impression given.

"Decent spot, but a little loud for the price"
I liked the overall vibe of the place, and it had a nice energy to it. That said, it was a bit too noisy for me, so it wasn’t the most relaxing experience. For what I paid, I was hoping it would feel a little more comfortable, but it’s still a decent place to check out.

I only found out about the closure at the last minute, and the message they sent was really unclear. I had to chase them just to get basic information, which was frustrating when people have bookings and plans to work around. it felt like customers were an afterthought.

I checked The Grand Pier before we went, and to be fair, most of the opening hours were right, which did help us plan. But of course the one area we were actually hoping to visit was listed as open and then wasn’t when we got there, so that was frustrating. It just felt like we’d done the sensible thing by checking first and still ended up being caught out. The main pier hours seemed accurate enough, but the smaller areas clearly need updating more often. Not a terrible site, just feels like a bit more attention to detail would save people like us the hassle.

"Getting in was quick and it wasn't..."
Getting in was quick and it wasn't no hassle at all at first. The annoying part was when we stepped out and tried to come back in. The re-entry process wasn’t explained that clearly, and it felt like not everyone on staff was giving the same answer. It all worked out in the end, so it wasn’t nothing major, but they could definitely make the instructions clearer.

"Felt a bit intense"
I don’t know, the whole place just had this heavy security vibe that made me feel kind of watched the entire time. Nothing specific really happened, but it was just uncomfortable and not a great feeling.

"Payment was a clunky mess"
Tried paying on The Grand Pier the whole thing was a right faff. It took longer than it should’ve, felt clunky the whole way through, and the payment options were useless. I just kept thinking, why is this so awkward? Ended up wishing I could pay some other way and be done with it.

"Felt stuck at an arcade that just ate our money"
Took the kids hoping for a fun afternoon, but it ended up being really frustrating. About half the machines weren’t working, and one just swallowed my coins without starting. When I asked the staff, they basically shrugged it off, which made it feel like we were stuck there with nothing to do and no one willing to help. Definitely not worth it, and we left annoyed

"Decent event, but a bit all over the place"
I thought the event was okay overall, but I’m probably a bit picky about how things are organised. The queues felt confusing at times and the timing of things seemed kind of messy. The staff were friendly and did try to help, so I don’t want to be too harsh, but it definitely felt like it needed better planning

"Parking really ruined it for me"
I was frustrated with the parking situation. I drove around for what felt like forever trying to find a spot, and when I finally did, it was way farther away than I expected. By the time I got there, I’d already missed a big chunk of what I had planned to do, so it kind of threw off the whole visit for me.
